Since I have been recovering from cancer this year, I haven't made as many forays into the countryside as usual.

Still, there have been exceptions such as this colourful foray into the Tipperary countryside and this rainy day adventure to a lime kiln.

I have been photographing plants and flowers more, and looking through the archives.

Here is the angle shades moth, a common and widely distributed moth that is often seen during daylight hours at rest on foliage as seen in the above image.

Moths come in all shapes and sizes, the angle shades has a wingspan of 50mm and has an interesting pattern across its folded wings in pink and green.
